Chef John’s at Roadhaven, a full-service restaurant and catering service, opened today at Roadhaven RV Resort, on Idaho Road south of Broadway, in Apache Junction.
Chef John is John Corey, whose 30-year career in restaurants and catering includes the last 17 in Arizona. He has cooked for the San Francisco Giants during spring training the past seven years, and even was awarded a 2012 World Series ring by the team.
Corey’s other clients have included US Airways, ESPN, Victoria’s Secret, Carolina Herrera, and Brooks Brothers.
The restaurant is open four days a week: 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 4-9 p.m. Saturday, and 6-11 a.m. Sunday. Enter passcode “000” at the resort gate to gain entrance.
