Pumpkin beers from Mudshark & Grand Canyon face off in this month’s Bar Fight at Nosh Arizona

Two pumpkin ales brewed right here in Arizona are the contestants in round four of the popular Bar Fight series at Chandler gastropub Nosh Arizona.

Here’s how Bar Fight works: Every other month, Nosh chooses two craft beers to face off, and chef Stacey Carson creates a special food pairing for each.

October’s first contender is Mudshark Brewing Peaceful Pumpkin Ale, which is paired with handmade pumpkin ravioli sauteed in sage brown butter.

The other contender is Grand Canyon Brewing Pumpkin Porter, which is paired with savory pumpkin potato pancakes topped with Pumpkin Porter sour cream and fresh chives.

For the entire month, diners can get both dishes on the same plate, plus a half-pint of each beer, for $13.95. At the end of the month, diners’ scores are compiled and a winner declared.
