It’s not often that a sports bar closes just as football season begins, but that’s what happened at Fox and Hound Pub & Grill in Gilbert.
The Stapley and Baseline location is only a few miles from my house, and I must confess I never even noticed it was closed last month. (I’ve learned it closed Sept. 1.)
It had been around for nearly a decade, but in my half-dozen visits over the years I found the food mediocre at best.
The Kansas-based chain still operates Fox and Hounds in Peoria and Tucson.
