In a surprise announcement, Colorado-based Avery Brewing says it will resume distribution in Arizona in mid-November.
The 20-year-old brewery, located in Boulder, pulled out of Arizona and seven other states in April 2011 because it couldn’t keep up with production demand.
Now, it’s reportedly come up with some “efficiencies” that have given the brewery an additional 10,000 barrels annually.
According to Chuck Noll at World Class Beverages, the Valley initially will get three of Avery’s five core beers – IPA, White Rascal Wheat, and Ellie’s Brown Ale – along with its Holy Trinity series and some seasonals.
The beers will be available in bottles, cans, and on draft.
A welcome-back launch party will be held Nov. 14 at Papago Brewing.
