RailSlide makes its seasonal debut at SanTan Brewing in downtown Chandler today. The imperial spiced ale will be available on draft and in cans during November and December.
The 7.1% beer traces its lineage to 12 Daze, a collaboration with Liberty Market in November 2011. Described as a strong American amber, it was brewed with Liberty’s chai tea, which provided notes of ginger, cinnamon, and cardamon.
Last November, a slightly reworked version of the beer was christened RailSlide, named for a snowboarding manuever. It became the first Arizona seasonal offered in a can.
RailSlide is just one of several seasonal or specialty beers still on SanTan’s 2013 calendar.
The always-popular Winter Warmer will debut Nov. 25, followed by an oak-aged version of RailSlide (Dec. 2), an unnamed blueberry saison (Dec. 9), and Sex Panther double chocolate porter (Dec. 30).
