Goodbye, Cadillac Ranch. Hello, Stadium Sports Grill.

The second-story roadhouse-style bar and grill at Tempe Marketplace is closing on Saturday, owner Ryan Gorman announced on Facebook today:

“We have spent the last 3 months developing a new concept for our location that we cant wait to share with you. Its been an amazing ride but now its on (to) the next one.”

That next one apparently is Stadium Sports Grill, opening date unknown.

Cadillac Ranch, which opened in 2007, offered a menu of steaks and burgers, a mix of rock and country music, a large balcony patio, plenty of TVs, and a mechanical bull.

The bar and grill was embroiled in controversy in December 2012 when it hosted an ASU fraternity event attended by under-age students. The body of one of those students, 19-year-old Jack Culolias, later was found in nearby Tempe Town Lake.

Cadillac Ranch will hold a “Thanks For The Memories” Last Bash from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday with food and drink specials and live music.
