Ready for a Serious Slice, Ahwatukee pizza lovers?
Jimmy & Joe’s Pizzeria, home of the Serious Slice, opens its third location today in the former Naked Pizza space in the Safeway center at 48th Street and Elliot.
The pizzeria’s streamlined menu offers only pizza, wings, salads, and desserts. The signature menu item is the Serious Slice. Cut from one of its 24-inch pizzas, the slice is so large it comes with its own pizza cutter.
Owner Terry Black and daughter Amy launched Jimmy & Joe’s on the northeast corner of McClintock and Ray in Chandler in 2006, and added another location on the northeast corner of Dobson and Baseline in Mesa in 2011.
The Ahwatukee pizzeria will offer the same menu as the other two, but will be the first to offer beer and wine (once its permit is approved in about a month).
Jimmy & Joe’s fourth location, next to Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, is scheduled to open before the end of the year.
