Looks like Chick-fil-A isn’t the only national chain holding a grand opening Thursday in Tempe.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, the largest BBQ chain in the country, opens its second East Valley location at 11 a.m. at College Avenue and Veterans Way, across the street from Sun Devil Stadium.
Founded by Travis Dickey in Dallas in 1941, Dickey’s offers a selection of meats, home-style sides, barbecue sauce, and free kids meals every Sunday. All meats are slow-smoked on site at each restaurant.
The chain’s other E.V. location is on Power, just south of U.S. 60, in Mesa.
