The Main Event, an entertainment mega-complex, opens today about a quarter-mile north and west of the intersection of Priest and Warner in south Tempe next month.
The 55,000-square-foot venue, across the street from Ikea, offers activities for adults and children alike, including bowling, laser tag, billiards, video games, and rope course. The complex also has a in-house restaurant, a pizzeria, and a bar.
Finger foods such wings, flatbreads, nachos, sliders, and egg rolls dominate the menu of the restaurant, although there also are salads, burgers, and a couple entrees like baby back ribs and a flat iron steak.
The pizzeria, called La Bella’s, offers 16-inch pizzas, also available by the slice, and gelato.
The bar will serve classic and specialty cocktails, margaritas, mojitos, beer, and wine.
The Tempe location is the Texas-based chain’s 13th, and its first outside of Texas.
