Barrelhouse American Kitchen & Cocktails is rolling out something I’ve never seen in the East Valley: A four-course dinner with craft cocktail pairings inspired by a local artist.
The guest artist for the inaugural dinner, which will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, will be Chandler digital artist Maynard Breese (gallery), who will talk about the inspirations behind his work.
Five of Breese’s works were the inspiration for the evening’s cocktails. For example, “The Road” (pictured) gave rise to a creation with ginger-apple-infused reposado tequila, Averna, three-citrus blend, piloncillo, Arizona Bitters Lab Más Mole, and red apple mezcal foam.
