Oregano’s Pizza Bistro, which began in a run-down building in Old Town Scottsdale in 1993, turns 20 today. The hugely popular local chain is now up to 13 locations, with a just-announced 14th store to open in Cave Creek early next year.
Oregano’s will celebrate today by giving away free Pizza Cookies – a half-pound of chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate, or white chocolate macadamia nut cookie dough, slightly baked in a 6-inch pizza pan, and then topped with three scoops of vanilla bean ice cream.
