This Thursday’s weekly “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner is sold out, and next Thursday is Thanksgiving. So the Gilbert bistro is offering additional “Taste” dinners at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and next Tuesday.
Like the usual Thursday dinners, the special Tuesday ones will be hosted in a private dining room by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, and highlight a rotating selection from the restaurant’s regular menu.
This Tuesday’s five featured dishes will include Stuffed Shells Spinachi (left) and spicy Salmon La Scala.
“Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Spicy Lamb Potatoes: Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices. Hand-formed and deep-fired. Served with yogurt sauce.
- Roasted Eggplant Salad: Roasted eggplant, red peppers, kalamatas, green chiles, carrots, garbanzo, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, Romano-parmesan, romaine lettuce.
- Stuffed Shells Spinachi: Pasta shells stuffed with spinach and cheese blend, then baked in homemade marinara.
- Salmon La Scala: Salmon fillet grilled with fresh dill and balsamic vinegar. Served with sauteed roasted red peppers, red bell peppers, crushed red pepper, capers, and pine nuts.
- Intoxicated Love cake: Dark chocolate, Grand Marnier, milk chocolate, and Kahlua, white and milk chocolate layers kissed by Jack Daniels.
