Because of Thanksgiving on Thursday, this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The weekly dinners are hosted in a private dining room by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, and highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Tuesday’s five featured dishes will include Goat Shrimp (shown on left) and Tortellini Gianni.
“Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Mezzogiorno: Roasted red peppers, peas, artichoke hearts, fresh mozzarella cheese in a pesto Dijon vinaigrette.
- Balsamic Steak Salad: Grilled steak tossed in extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar with roasted red peppers, scallions, tomatoes, mushrooms, red cabbage, artichoke hearts, and sunflower seeds with romaine lettuce.
- Goat Shrimp: Bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp with feta and sun-dried tomato stuffing. Served with sauteed vegetables, garlic, lemon, and herbs over pasta.
- Tortellini Gianni: Italian sausage, cheese-filled tortellini, scallions, fresh garlic, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes in marsala cream sauce.
- Carrot Cake: Moist carrot and walnut cake layered with apricots and cream cheese icing
