Valley-based Barro’s Pizza holds its second annual Holiday Hunger Fight on Tuesday. Buy a large pizza at any Barro’s and the proceeds will be donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance.
Last year, the pizza chain raised money for 840,000 meals. This year, it hopes to reach one million.
“We wanted to create a special philanthropic event that all 33 stores could participate in together,” says co-owner Ken Barro. “The amount that we raised last year is really in thanks to our great customers.”
