Fast-growing SanTan Brewing, which plans to begin distributing its beers in several other Southwest states in 2014, has hired Wendy Weathers as its first national business development director.
Weathers formerly was national sales director for Colorado’s Oskar Blues Brewery.
“We have been friends with Wendy for several years and couldn’t be happier about having her join our family at SanTan,” SanTan owner Anthony Canecchia says. “Wendy’s passion for craft beer and accomplishments at Oskar Blues are two of the many traits that complement the culture of SanTan Brewing.â€
SanTan, which opened a new 35,000-square-foot production facility in Chandler earlier this year, is the second-largest craft brewery in Arizona and the 14th-fastest-growing craft brewery in the nation, according to the Brewers Association.
It plans to begin selling its core beers in California, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas next year.
