Franchise sale results in closure of 2 Applebees in Chandler & 2 in Gilbert

The East Valley has four fewer Applebee’s today.

The sale of 78 restaurants between franchise owners resulted in the closure of nine restaurants, including four in Chandler and Gilbert:

• Alma School and Chandler Boulevard in Chander

• Alma School and Queen Creek in Chandler

• Cooper and Warner in Gilbert

• Gilbert and SanTan Freeway in Gilbert

Seven Applebee’s locations remain open in the East Valley. A company spokesperson says all employees at the closed locations will be reassigned to other restaurants.
