Check, Please! Arizona,” the two-time Emmy Award-winning television show on Eight, Arizona PBS, kicks off its fourth season at 7 tonight.

The show features a trio of guests each week who review their favorite Valley restaurants in a roundtable discussion hosted by chef Robert McGrath.

To be featured, a restaurant must be local to Arizona and independently owned, and have been in business for a minimum of three years.

Tonight’s season premiere will feature Citizen Public House, La Piazza al Forno, and Sofrita.

The show, which re-airs at 3 p.m. Saturday, is the highest-rated locally produced program on Eight.

“Four years ago, when we launched ‘Check, Please! Arizona,’ I don’t think any of us knew how successful it would become,” McGrath says.
