The Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival – featuring 60 barbecue vendors serving up more than 20,000 pounds of pork, beef, and chicken, all paired with SanTan Brewing craft beers – will return to downtown Chandler on Saturday, March 22.
The family-friendly event also will include nationally known bands, an NCAA March Madness lounge, a Harley Davidson bike zone, an expanded kids zone, farmers market, eating competitions, and more. It will run noon to 10 p.m.
This year’s band lineup has not been announced.
Last year’s fest drew 16,000 people, according to organizer Landon Evans of HDE Agency. This year, Evans expects 20,000 to fill AJ Chandler Park on both sides of Arizona Avenue, which will be closed from Buffalo to Boston.
General admission is $10, which does not include food or drink. VIP tickets – which include catered food and drink,  private restrooms, and front-row concert access – are $125 and available only in advance.
