Chicken Ziti and Milanesa (pictured) will be the featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Jan. 23 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
Appetizer: Greek Skins (gyros meat, artichokes with feta and kasseri cheese)
Salad: Bleu Caesar Salad (tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers, and capers tossed with bleu cheese, Italian dressing on romaine lettuce with homemade croutons. Anchovies.)
Entree #1: Chicken Ziti (artichoke hearts, onions, chicken, and ziti noodles baked in creamy ricotta sauce and topped with provolone cheese)
Entree #2: Milanesa (lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets. Garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes, roasted pepper, and garlic jardinière. Lemon wedges.)
Dessert: Chocolate Cheesecake
