Athenian Chicken and Paella Barcelona (pictured) will be the featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Jan. 30 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Asparagus Puffs: Asparagus, Swiss and ricotta cheeses, almonds, and garlic in a puff pastry with ranch dressing.
- Antipasto Salad: Genoa salami, ham cappicola, pepperoni, Swiss and provolone cheeses, fresh and marinated vegetables, kalamata olives, and pepperoncinis on a bed of lettuce with Italian dressing.
- Athenian Chicken: Grilled chicken breast and eggplant with zucchini, mushrooms, scallions, red peppers, and pepperoncinis in feta-kasseri wine sauce.
- Paella Barcelona: Shrimp, chicken, clams, Italian sausage, hearts of artichoke and palm, spinach, red bell peppers, onions, whole garlic, peeled tomatoes and brown rice.
- The Night Before
