East Valley’s only Romano’s Macaroni Grill closes in Mesa

The East Valley’s only Romano’s Macaroni Grill has closed on the northeast corner of Stapley and Baseline in Mesa. The casual dining restaurant specialized in Italian-American cuisine.

Macaroni Grill revenues fell 6.5% in 2013, when the Houston-based chain was sold to Ignite Restaurant Group, which also owns the Joe’s Crab Shack and Brick House Tavern + Tap brands.

Macaroni Grill has more than 200 locations worldwide, including two in Phoenix and one in Scottsdale.
