Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company, which opened last August as Gilbert’s first microbrewery, unveiled a new food menu today.
Owners Bret Dettler and Jon Buford want to stick to a simple burgers-and-beer theme, so they’ve come up with a roster of a dozen new  speciality burgers.
AZ Wilderness specialty burgers:
- Arizona Trail Burger: Brisket-blend burger with thick-cut bacon, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, and sweet-and-spicy sauce on a pretzel bun ($11.99)
- Beer Braised ‘N’ Blue: Brisket-blend burger with blue cheese crumbles, beer-braised onions, and salted sauteéd arugula on a pretzel bun ($10.99)
- Hawaiian Wilderness:  Brisket-blend burger with pepper jack cheese, beer-iyaki grilled pineapple, beer-braised onions, and sweet-and-spicy sauce on a brioche bun ($9.99)
- Mushroom ‘N’ Beer Cheese: Brisket-blend burger with beer-sautéed mushrooms and beer cheese sauce on a pretzel bun ($10.99)
- Good Mornin’ Burger: Brisket-blend burger with cheddar cheese, thick-cut bacon, egg over medium, roasted red pepper, and beer-braised onions on a pretzel bun ($11.99)
- Momma Bird: Chicken patty with a dollop of Momma Ware’s green chili artichoke dip all up on that on a brioche bun ($9.99)
- Spicy Red Pepper Chicken: Chicken patty with roasted red pepper, salted sautéed arugula, hummus spread, and drizzled with Sriracha on a brioche bun ($8.99)
- The Kater: Chicken patty with salted sautéed arugula, avocado, and cheddar on a brioche bun ($8.99)
- Pork On Pork: Slow-cooked pulled pork with thick-cut bacon and smothered in Beer-B-Q sauce on a brioche bun ($9.99)
- Chile Verde Pulled Pork: Slow-cooked pulled pork with roasted green chilies and smothered in Beer-B-Q sauce on a brioche bun ($8.99)
- Black Bean Delight: House-made black bean burger with roasted red pepper and Thousand Island beer dressing on a pretzel bun ($8.99)
- Seeing Double: Two brisket-blend burger patties with thick-cut bacon, and choice of cheese on a pretzel bun ($13.99)
All burgers are served with fresh-cut chips, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a pickle. You can upgrade to a side of Belgische frietjes for 99 cents.
AZ Wilderness also will retain the build-your-own-burger option it’s been offering since September.
It also has added several new choices to its list of appetizers.
