Salmon La Scala and Tortellini Gianni (pictured) will be the featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Feb. 13 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Eggplant Capri: Grilled eggplant, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Served with foccacia.
- Greek Salad: Tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, kalamata olives, pepperoncinis, and feta cheese in olive oil and red wine vinegar.
- Salmon La Scala: Salmon filet grilled with fresh dill and balsamic vinegar. Served with sautéed roasted red peppers, red bell peppers, crushed red pepper, capers, and pine nuts.
- Tortellini Gianni: Italian sausage, cheese-filled tortellini, scallions, fresh garlic, mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes in marsala cream sauce.
- Cherry Cordial Tart
