Hangar 24, a brewery in Redlands, Calif., known for its World War II-era aviation-inspired labels, will begin sending its beers to Arizona bars, restaurants, and retail stores next month.
Hangar 24’s flagship beer is its Orange Wheat, brewed with oranges grown near the brewery. Other core beers are its Amarillo Pale Ale, Alt-Bier Ale, Helles Lager, Columbus IPA, Chocolate Porter, and Double IPA.
Besides various seasonals, barrel-aged, and limited-release beers, Hangar also offers a unique Local Fields series in which each beer is made with a different type of California produce like grapes, dates, apricots, pumpkins, and cherries.
The series’ Warmer, a 7.8% ABV strong ale brewed with maple syrup, cinnamon, and spruce from the San Bernardino Mountains, won the gold medal for Specialty Beer at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival.
Hangar 24 will be pouring Warmer, Double IPA, Pugachev’s Cobra (a barrel-aged Russian imperial stout, 13.8% ABV!), and Hullabaloo (a Scotch ale) at the Arizona Strong Beer Festival on Saturday.
