The Taylor family, which has run lakeside restaurant Pier 54Â in south Tempe for seven years, has sold the all-patio venue, according to a post on its Facebook page:
We have had an amazing journey as the owners and operators of Pier 54 and we have met the most incredible people. For seven years, we poured a lot of love on the best kept secret of Tempe! I know I personally will never forget the beautiful sunsets, the joy of coming to work with a “sea” breeze on my face and the smiles of all of you. It was truly a blessing to be a part of such a great place.
But our time has come to focus on our catering company and to pass the torch to two wonderful people who we believe will make the Pier an even greater place to eat, drink and relax. I’m sure they will soon pop on here to introduce themselves but come on by and meet them if you haven’t already! They are still open and operating with the same staff you have all come to love.
Al and Michelle Taylor still own Special Moments Catering and Detroit-themed Sunshine’s Motor City Cafe in Tempe.
