Hungry Monk hosts annual version of Bell’s Eccentric Cafe on Friday

For Bell’s Brewery fans in the Valley, this Friday has been circled on their calendars all year.

From 3-11 p.m., The Hungry Monk hosts its annual version of Bell’s Eccentic Cafe, one of the most popular events of Arizona Beer Week.

Inspired by the brewery’s eclectic cafe in Kalamazoo, Mich., the festival features the biggest collection of Bell’s beers you’ll see in Arizona.

Topping the tap list will be five Bell’s beer with perfect 100 ratings on RateBeer.com: The year-round Two-Hearted IPA and Expedition Stout, and seasonals Hopslam double IPA, Black Note stout, and Third Coast Old Ale.

Add Special Double Cream Stout (99 rating), Roundhouse India Red (99), Porter (97), Harvest Ale (96), and Rye Stout (94), and you begin to see why this event is a must-attend for craft beer lovers.

Rounding out the Bell’s lineup will be Amber Ale, Oberon, Smitten Ale, Oarsman Ale, Rednose ESB, and Third Coast Beer.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in costumes of their choice. (Pictured above: Hungry Monk owner Jim Lolli)

Unlike last year’s event, which was extended into the rear parking lot, this year will be inside-only extended into a smaller area in the front parking lot.
