Barrel Aged Tap Takeover

If you like barrel-aged beers, you don’t want to miss this event from 2-11 p.m. at World of Beer Tempe. More than 50 kegs will include Odell’s rum-barrel-aged Imperial Stout, De Struise Black Damnation I – Black Berry Albert, Harviestoun Ola Dubh Special Reserve 21, Abita Imperial Stout aged in Pappy Van Winkle barrels, Firestone Walker Sucaba, and Left Coast Voo Doo.

Colorado Firkin Festival

Join Flanny’s and eight breweries – Odell, Left Hand, Ska, New Belgium, Breckenridge, Oskar Blues, Epic, and Great Divide – for the third annual Colorado Firkin Night at 6 p.m. Cask ales will include Odell Creme Brulee Porter, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter with pieces of real coconut, and Oskar Blues Old Chub with organic raspberries.

Girl Scout Cookies & Beer

GirlScoutCookies250From 5-7 p.m., the Four Peaks Tasting Room on Wilson will be pairing three different Girl Scout cookies (Samoas, Savannah Smiles, and Terfoils) and three Four Peaks beers (Sirius Black, Double Knot, Peach Ale). For $15, you’ll get two cookies and a 6-ounce pour for each pairing, and a Beer Week glass to take home.

BBQ & Beer

Sleepy Dog Brewery will be pairing its Tripel and other specialties with appetizers from Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse from 6-9 p.m. Pairings will be sold a la carte.

A Night of Lunacy

From 2-11 p.m., World of Beer Gilbert hosts A Night of Lunacy, featuring eight varieties of Mudshark’s Full Moon Lunacy witbier, including watermelon, peach, and blueberry.

Big Sky Tap Takeover

Go on the hunt for some of Big Sky’s most popular beers – Moose Drool, Powderhound, Big Sky IPA, Trout Slayer, and Bobo’s Porter – at the Wild Side Grill. Pints will be $4 from 6-8 p.m.

Huss Sampler

Whole Foods Chandler will be selling a sampler flight of four Huss beers – Alt, Hoppy Pale Ale, IPA, and Imperial Oatmeal Stout – for $6 from 5-8 p.m. The first six people to order the sampler will get a free growler.

Avery Cellared Beer & Cheese

Papago is teaming up with Wedge and Bottle to pair Rumpkin, Uncle Jacobs Stout, Ross’s’s’s’s, Samaels 2005, and Thensaurum with some amazing cheeses at 6 p.m. Seating is limited.
