The “Panacacon” – a buttermilk pancake with bacon inside, served with a Sierra Nevada Bigfoot barleywine reduction maple syrup – is one of four special menu items for The Hungry Monk‘s monthly Beer & Bacon Night from 5-9 p.m. today.
Also on the menu: Three Kings meatloaf (made with buffalo, pork, and bacon) with bacon-wrapped asparagus, macaroni and cheese with chunks of bacon, and chicken-and-bacon kabobs.
Featured brewery Sierra Nevada will have seven beers on tap, including Guard de Beer, brewed by Valley beer impresario Hophead Fred at the Chico, Calif., brewery’s Beer Camp.
Others on tap: Pale Ale, Harvest Single Hop IPA, Celebration Ale IPA, Kellerweisse wheat ale, Bigfoot, and cask-conditioned Ruthless Rye IPA.
