Salad and Go, the Valley’s first “drive-through salad bar,” opened its second location today on the southwest corner of Cooper and Warner in Gilbert.
Gilbert resident Roushan Cristofellis and her husband debuted their concept in February 2013 on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Guadalupe. Their goal: To make drive-thru fast food better and healthier.
Salad and Go sells 10 gourmet salads – created by Bourbon Steak executive chef Daniel Patino – that also are available as wraps. All salads/wraps are $5.55, and you can add a protein for $1.29-$2.09.
Beverage choices include coffee from Bergies Coffee Roast House in Gilbert, cold-pressed juices, and super-food smoothies.
For now, the new location is open 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m. every day.
In approximately two weeks, it will add breakfast options – such as a berry quinoa bowl ($4.99) or Greek yogurt parfait ($3.99) – and open at 6:30 a.m. weekdays, just like the original location.
Salad and Go plans to open a third location at Higley and Williams Field in Gilbert this summer.
