The fledgling Arizona Distilling Company picked up a pair of awards at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The Tempe distillery was awarded a silver medal for its Desert Dry Gin and a bronze for its Desert Durum Wheat Whiskey.

The 14-year-old event is considered the most respected spirits competition in the world. Nearly 1,500 entrees were subject to blind judging this year.

“We are proud of the awards and especially proud of the recognition of our products,” says ADC partner Rodney Hu. “To be recognized with some of the best in the world and place so high is a dream come true.

“We will continue to be innovative in releasing new products and we look forward to improving our existing spirits.”

What’s up next for ADC? Look for a rye whiskey, a double malt whiskey in collaboration with Four Peaks Brewing, and a line of agave spirits in the coming months.
