Gilbert restaurateur Joe Johnston, the namesake of Joe’s Real BBQ and Joe’s Farm Grill, will be inducted into the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame this month.

Johnston (pictured), whose businesses also include Liberty Market and Agritopia, is this year’s inductee in the lifetime achievement category.

Craig DeMarco and Lauren Bailey, whose Upward Projects opened Postino Winecafe and Joyride Taco House in Gilbert, also will be inducted as restaurateurs of the year.

The other two 2014 inductees are Aaron Chamberlin of St. Francis (chef of the year) and Micah Olson of Bar Crudo (beverage master of the year).

The foursome will be honored at the Scottsdale Culinary Festival’s Wine Country Brunch at the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center on Sunday, April 13.
