Pasta Rustica (pictured on left) and Goat Shrimp (right) will be the two main dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
April 10 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Peppers Spanaki: A sweet colored bell pepper halved and stuffed with mozzarella, spinach, and brown rice, and baked with tomato sauce.
- Bleu Caesar Salad: Tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers, and capers, tossed with bleu cheese and Italian dressing on romaine lettuce with homemade croutons. Anchovies.
- Pasta Rustica: Mild Italian sausage and shrimp with zucchini, mushrooms, and sweet red peppers in basil-pesto cream with ziti noodles.
- Goat Shrimp: Bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp with feta and sun-dried tomato stuffing. Served with sauteed vegetables, garlic. lemon and herbs over pasta.
- Cheesecake Brownies: Rich, chocolaty cream cheese brownies with coconut and pecans
