Tuesday: Fractured Prune doughnuts opens in Chandler

Fractured Prune, a Maryland-based chain of doughnut shops, will make its Arizona debut Tuesday on the northeast corner of Rural and Ray in west Chandler.

Doors will open at 6 a.m. The first 100 people in line will receive prizes, and the first dozen will get a free box of a dozen doughnuts every month for a year.

Fractured Prune offers a made-to-order menu where diners choose from 15 glazes and 13 toppings to create their own doughnuts.

For those who can’t decide, the chain has 15 pre-determined combinations, including Strawberry Shortcake, Caramel Bliss, and French Toast.
