May 15: Ballast Point beers & street tacos at Il Vinaio

Move over, beer and doughnuts. Beer and tacos are coming.

Il Vinaio, the downtown Mesa restaurant and bar known for its popular beer-and-doughnuts pairings a couple times a year, will host a special event pairing of street tacos with Ballast Point beers at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15.

Beer & Taco pairings

• Fried cod taco with pickled Fresno chile and tequila lime crema, paired with Longfin Lager
• Charred BBQ chicken taco with Irish cheddar and tobacco onions, paired with Calico Amber
• Coconut shrimp curry taco with papaya mango salsa, paired with Big Eye IPA
• Cilantro lime pork taco with mole sauce and fried serrano chiles, paired with Steamboat Black Lager
• Carne asada taco with habanero pineapple salsa, paired with Double Dorado IPA
• Bunuelo taco with wild berries, crème anglaise, and roasted macadamia nuts, paired with Victory at Sea Vanilla Coffee Porter
