Henry Ku, the namesake chef of recently opened Henry’s Private Kitchen, is no longer associated with the Taiwanese restaurant in Mesa, according to the Republic’s Howard Seftel.
The Seattle-based restaurateur remains involved with the fast-casual Henry’s Taiwan, which opened last year in Tempe.
Compared to its Tempe sibling, the Mesa restaurant was pricier and featured a larger menu of nearly 200 items, most identified only in Chinese.
Ku dropped his ownership stake in Henry’s Private Kitchen two weeks ago, Seftel reports. No word yet on what the new owner will call the restaurant.
Ku, meanwhile, plans to open another restaurant in Tucson this summer.
