Two summer beers are facing off in the first Bar Fight of 2014 at Nosh Arizona gastropub in Chandler.
In the ongoing series, Nosh chooses two craft beers, and chef Stacey Carson creates a special food pairing for each.
This month, the Raspberry Wheat beer from Arizona’s own Grand Canyon Brewing is being paired with jumbo prawns wrapped in potato with green curry cream.
The other contender is Bison Brewing’s Organic Honey Basil ale, paired with thresher shark with a lemon-basil pesto.
Diners can get both dishes on the same plate, plus a half-pint of each beer, for $13.95. At the end of the month, diners’ scores are compiled and a winner declared.
