Tokyo Joe’s, a Colorado-based chain of Asian restaurants, made its Arizona debut over the weekend on the northeast corner of Val Vista and Baseline in Mesa.
The Dana Park eatery is the fast-casual chain’s first outside Colorado. It plans to open four more in the Valley over the next year.
Instead of the dishes that are wokked or fried, Tokyo Joe’s focuses on rice bowls and noodle bowls with ingredients that are steamed or grilled.
The menu also includes made-to-order sushi rolls and nigiri.
