With temperatures hovering around 110, many East Valley residents are looking for an excuse – any excuse – to head to the cooler high country. Flagstaff offers a couple food and drink options this weekend and next.
This weekend, the fifth annual Flagstaff Wine & Food Festival will take place 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Pepsi Amphitheater. (VIPs get in at noon.)
The $35 general-admission ticket includes four beer or wine samples and unlimited food tasting from a dozen participating restaurants. There also will be chef demos.
Next weekend, the same venue will host the 22nd annual Made in the Shade craft beer festival from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 14. (VIPs again get in at noon.)
Tickets are $45 ($55 DOS) for general admission or $80 ($90 DOS) for VIP and include 24 beer samples.
