Romeo’s Choice Skins (pictured) will be the first of five dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
June 12 ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu
- Romeo’s Choice Skins: Italian sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms provolone. Served with yogurt dressing.
- Teriyaki Chicken Salad: Black beans, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, avocado, feta, and lemon tossed together over romaine. Served with chicken sautéed in a gourmet teriyaki sauce.
- Chicken Omega: Strips of grilled chicken, spinach, pine nuts, garlic, and feta in rich white wine cream.
- Fillomousaka: Gyros meat, roasted eggplant, and potatoes baked in a cumin-nutmeg sauce on fillo topped with Kasseri.
- Evening’s Embrace: Buttery rich chocolate cake, studded with toasted almonds and layered with fudgy ganache with a hint of apricot.
