Milanesa and Veal Pirata (pictured) will be the main entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
June 19 ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu
- Greek Skins: Gyros meat, artichokes, feta and kasseri cheese, and yogurt dressing.
- Bleu Caesar Salad: Tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers, and capers, tossed with bleu cheese, Italian dressing on romaine lettuce with homemade croutons. Anchovies.
- Milanesa: Lightly breaded, pan-fried pork cutlets. Garlic, horseradish mashed potatoes, roasted pepper, and garlic jardinière.
- Veal Pirata: Walnut- and almond-encrusted veal shoulder scaloppini, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms,red peppers, asparagus, capers, and roasted garlic in Marsala cream over linguini.
- Irish Cream Cheesecake: Irish Cream liquor and mini chocolate chips.
