Pork AgroDolce, a new menu item, and Vasco de Gama (both pictured) will be the main entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
June 26 ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu
- Portobellini: Grilled Portobello mushroom with roasted peppers, basil pesto, garlic, and kasseri cheese.
- Mediterranean Salad: Hearts of artichoke and palm with roasted pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, scallion, avocado, romaine, lemon vinaigrette, and almonds.
- Pork AgroDolce: Blackened pork tenderloin, smashed crispy potatoes, haricot verts, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, balsamic cipollini onions, marionberry agrogolce.
- Vasco De Gama: Sautéed chicken and Gulf shrimp with carrots, mushrooms, green onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and whole black peppercorns in a creamy curry-mustard seed sauce with bow tie pasta and pistachios.
- Cherry Cordial Tart: Amarena cherries, dark chocolate granache, and sweet pastry tart shell.
