Like hummus? If so, you may want to scoot down to Wimpy’s Paradise in downtown Chandler tonight to meet author Dr. Anne Borik.
From 6-8 p.m., Borik, who has been voted one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Valley Doctors, will be signing copies of her book, “The Proof is in the ‘Hummus.'”
The book is not a cookbook, but rather a tutorial on nutritional information and health-related topics pertaining to Mediterranean cuisine.
Copies of the book will be available for $19.95. Borik also will be providing samples of her homemade hummus.
Wimpy’s also will be introducing its use of Applegate uncured, nitrate-free, gluten-free, no-filler beef and turkey franks. The new dogs are $4.45 apiece or $5.25 on a gluten-free bun.
