Like many local bars, Arizona Wilderness Brewing is opening at 9 a.m. Thursday for the World Cup soccer match between the U.S. and Germany.
But there’s another reason to skip work tomorrow and head to the Gilbert brewpub: They’ll also be tapping their much-anticipated Denmark in the Desert.
The imperial peach porter was brewed a couple weeks ago with visiting Danish “gypsy” brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø (pictured in Wilderness’s sour room).  Bjergsø, of course, was one of the founders of Mikkeller.
The peach porter will be tapped at 9 a.m. There’ll be no growler fills Thursday.
