American Taphouse, a large restaurant and bar on Gilbert Road just south of Warner in Gilbert, has closed its doors after just seven-plus months.
It had taken over for a similar concept – Louisville-based BoomBozz Pizza & Taphouse – in the stand-alone building last November. Both offered pizza, sandwiches, and nearly 40 beers on tap.
Earlier this year, American Taphouse began delivering not only food but also bottles of wine and growlers of beer within a three-mile radius.
According to a notice posted on its website, American Taphouse plans to reopen in Watford City, which is in the heart of western North Dakota’s booming oil fields, in 2015.
