Bison brewer & ‘Beer Wench’ coming to Valley this week

Bison Brewing owner and brewer Daniel Del Grande and his right hand woman, Ashley Routson, will be making a whirlwind tour of the Valley this week to promote the Berkeley, Calif., brewery.

Del Grande, often referred to as “Organic Dan,” brews only organic beers. Since launching Bison in 1989, the brewery has used ecologically responsible packaging and production methods, and 100% non-GMO ingredients.

Routson, also known as “The Beer Wench,” wrote the popular blog Drink with the Wench until December 2013. She serves as Bison’s “director of awesomeness.”

At 6 p.m. Thursday, the pair will be at The Hungry Monk for the Chandler bar’s monthly Beer & Bacon Night. Beers on tap: Hop Cuvee Pale, Honey Basil Amber, Saison De Wench, Chocolate Stout, and limited-release The Tramp. (It’s a Girls Pint Out event but not limited to just the girls.)

From 4-6 p.m. Friday, they’ll be at The Attic for happy hour with Saison De Wench and The Tramp.

From 7-9 p.m. Friday, they’ll host a mini tap takeover at World of Beer Gilbert. Beers:  Bison Hop Cuvee Pale, Honey Basil Amber, Saison De Wench, Chocolate Stout, and The Tramp.

From 6-9 p.m. Saturday, they’ll head to the westside for another mini tap takeover at Ground Control.
