Chef Off!, a traveling series of friendly culinary competitions between southeast Valley chefs, will pit Sal Zappone of Zappone’s Italian Bistro against John Wong of sN Asian Kitchen on Monday.
The Bastille Day battle will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Zappone’s on the northwest corner of Higley and Baseline in Gilbert.
For $55, diners will get three Italian dishes from Zappone and three French-inspired dishes from Wong, plus wine pairings. They then will vote for the night’s “winner.”
