Risi Bisi con Milanesa and Kasseri Chicken will be the featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
July 24 ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu
- Feta Dill Fritters: A blend of gyros meat, feta cheese, fresh dill, spinach, and pine nuts with yogurt sauce.
- Panzanella Salad: Arugula, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, red onions, piquillos, capers, sugar snap peas, fresh basil, homemade croutons, goat cheese fritter.
- Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Brown rice, black beans, peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, peas cooked in chicken broth, lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, parsley-cilantro salad, and lemon wedges.
- Kasseri Chicken: Sauteed chicken breast, pepperoncinis, kalamatas, roasted garlic, kasseri cheese, and black peppercorns layered with roasted red peppers in a marsala cream sauce.
- Dark Desire: Dense roasted hazelnut-chocolate cake soaked in a Frangelico syrup and layered with dark chocolate
- mousse, covered in chocolate ganache and roasted hazelnuts.
