Scottsdale, which has lagged behind the Southeast Valley in the craft beer scene, appears to be making up ground. OHSO recently opened a location in north Scottsdale, and the Scottsdale Brewing Company and Goldwater Brewing Company hope to open later this year.
Now, MXSW has learned a new craft beer venue called Craft 64 is planning to open at Main Street and Goldwater Boulevard in October. The “64” in its name refers to the number of ounces in a half-gallon growler.
Craft 64 will have 30 taps – all dedicated to Arizona beers. It also will offer a nice selection of affordable wines and a menu of wood-fired pizzas and salads.
The principals behind the project are trying to remain anonymous for now, but they have extensive experience with Valley wine and beer bars. Stay tuned for more…
