Sherry Cranberry Pork (pictured) and Chicken Veneto will be the two featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Aug. 14 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Greek Skins: Gyros meat, artichokes, feta and kasseri cheese, and yogurt dressing.
- Teriyaki Chicken Salad: Black beans, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, avocado, feta, and lemon tossed together over romaine. Served with chicken sautéed in a gourmet teriyaki sauce.
- Sherry Cranberry Pork: Pork tenderloin, cranberries, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, roasted red pepper, green onions, and rosemary.
- Chicken Veneto: Chicken breast, whole black peppercorns, capers, spring onion, mushrooms, and garlic in Marsala cream sauce.
- Euro Delight: Moist black cake soaked with Kahlua, filled with a tangy chocolate Kahlua crème fraiche mousse, and covered in chocolate whipped cream.
Cost is $25 per person, and you can add five wine tastings for another $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
