Fall might not be in the air quite yet, but the scent of Hatch chiles is. That’s because La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen is roasting its annual fall harvest – a full two tons of the green chiles straight from New Mexico – right outside the Gilbert restaurant this weekend.
As part of the weekend celebration, Aaron Howard will perform from 8-11 p.m. Friday and Guitarras Latinas from 8-11 Saturday. La Ristra has started a reverse happy hour with food and drink specials from 10-midnight Friday and Saturday.
A tequila tasting from 1-4 p.m. Saturday will feature Ocho, Corralejo, and Tres Agaves tequilas. Tickets are $30 at the door, $25 prepaid, and $20 for Agave Club members.
For the start of NFL games on Sunday, La Ristra will offer food specials including chorizo sliders, adovada or chipotle wings, bacon-wrapped poppers, and green chile fries.
